Taking the right steps

• Holders of US passport do not need a visa to come to Germany and stay up to 90 days.
• If you stay in any European country (see: “Schengen Agreement”) for more than 90 days, you must apply for a (temporary) residence permit.
• Every internship must be approved by the ZAV, the office registering all internships in Germany.
